Applications
Turacryl A 540 may be used with chrome tanning compounds and zirconium tanning compounds. Almost every vegetable tanning materials and synthetic tanning agents are compatible with Turacryl A 540. Chrome leather for retanning should have a spot pH of 3.25-4.25. At the higher pH range, effective bleaching is obtained for white leathers. Turacryl A 540 offers a number of properties which are likely to be of interest in the manufacture of a number of different types of leather.It is particularly suitable for :
- retanning of sheepskins for garment leathers,
- retanning of full grain and corrected grain leathers Recommended usage of Turacryl A 540 :
Float lengths of 50-100 % yield satisfactory exhaution. The most suitable temperature is 25- 38 ° C. Temperatures up to 50 ° C is recommended for improved bleaching for white leath- ers. Ordinarily running times of 30-60 minutes are sufficient to exhaust Turacryl A 540.
